Week of 6/2-6/6

This week we:

- Finished our ABC journals and reviewed rhyming words and words that start with the same sound.

- Reviewed colors and shapes

- Practiced for our graduation

- Reviewed sight words

- Released our butterflies

 Week of 6/9-6/13 we will finish reviewing letters and numbers, practice for graduation and we will be busy making Father's Day crafts.

Next week will be the last full week of school, the children are so excited and ready for Kindergarten! 

This is going to be the last Blog for this school year, have a great summer and I will see you all on Graduation day June 17. 

Week of 5/26-5/30

This week we:

-Learned letter Zz

-Made Zebra masks

-Learned number 26

-Practiced reading sight words

-Started practicing our graduation songs 

-Had an awesome "Zoo Day" on Friday

-Learned about zoo animals.

*3 out of 5 butterflies emerged from their cocoons!

-In the next couple of  weeks we will be reviewing colors, shapes, opposites, letters and numbers.  We will also be practicing for our graduation! 

Week of 5/19-5/23

This week we:

-Learned letter Yy.

-Practiced writing in our journals.

-Made "Yak" craft.

-Learned number 25

-Talked about Memorial Day and made our own flags.

*Our Caterpillars formed cocoons, and we are waiting for them to turn into Butterflies!

Week of 5/12-5/16

This week we:

-Learned letter Xx

-Practiced reading sight words

- Made x-ray pictures of our hands

- Talked about healthy food to keep our body and bones healthy and strong

-Made a chart and sorted healthy and unhealthy choices 

-Learned number 24 

-Read "The Very Hungry Caterpiller" and explained the life cycle of the butterfly

Week of 5/5-5/9

This week we:

-Learned letter Ww

-Practiced reading sight words daily

-Worked all week on our Mother's Day songs, gifts and cards

-Learned number 23

Week of 4/28-5/2

This week we:

-Learned letter Vv.

-Practiced writing and recognizing capital and lower case Vv.

-Learned number 22.

-Made a volcano craft.

-Made our own volcano erupt in class using vinegar, baking soda and food coloring.

-Learned all about vegetables and how they grow.

-Had so much fun making vegetable funny faces and enjoyed eating our veggies.

Week of 4/21-4/25

 This week we:

- Learned the letter Uu 

- Learned number 21

- Finished our review sheets for the number and letter of the week

- Celebrated Earth Day

- Planted seeds of String Beans 

- Talked about Arbor Day
